The world around us is changing with the speed of light, one of the factors that is informing those changes being the requirement to limit physical contact. Social distancing has seriously affected the trades and businesses that have previously relied heavily on personal contact, such as the home inspection business. Fortunately, careful planning, efficient communication based on trust and modern communication technology can solve many of the arising problems and today many home and Port Huron roofing specialists offer no contact inspections. Here is what to expect:
- Safe distance maintained while talking face to face – whenever personal communication between the inspector and the client is needed, the safe talking distance of 6 feet will be maintained;
- The inspector goes into the house alone, but documents everything – detailed reports are mandatory at the end of the inspection and most inspectors also agree to stay in touch with their client through video calls, allowing the client to see exactly what the inspector is seeing;
- Special attention to hygiene – the inspectors should bring their own hand sanitizer and towel and disinfect every surface that they touch, especially in the kitchen and in the bathroom. If necessary, the inspector may also wear a full protection suit and a mask during the entire inspection or for inspecting particular spaces in the house.
