Whether you live in Michigan or you are just visiting, you should attend at least a few of the great public celebrations organized on July 4. The Independence Day comes with many activities organized around the state, enough to fill your entire weekend with enjoyable experiences.
Fourth of July Leland Celebration
Leland starts celebrating the night before July 4, at the Village Green. There will be patriotic music and, of course, the fireworks display, at Hancock Field and Park. Other activities on July 4 include the Concert on the Lawn, a big street parade and various other fun opportunities at the Old Art Building.
Ludington Freedom Festival
This is another event worth seeing in Michigan, organized since 1874. There is a pet parade, the day before July 4, followed by other family-friendly fun opportunities. On the Independence Day, you can attend the parade and the West Shore Art Fair, which is a shopper`s paradise: jewelry, clothes, paintings and much more handmade items.
Celebrations at Harbor Springs
You can attend spectacular patriotic events at Harbor Springs:
- the Fourth of July Art Fair, in Zorn Park
